Campers Bothy
Located within the Campers' Bothy. Leaflets and chart information is available about the many attractions and places of interest on the island. This is a dish washing area and a rest place for campers, walkers, cyclists with table and chairs. Includes a kettle - a sheltered spot for guests with tents

There is good television reception on the site, with a freeview signal.

The site has wi-fi facilities, all guests receive a pass at no cost.
If you need to make or receive a telephone call in an emergency please ask at reception or ask the warden.

Motor Homes
You can leave your pitch unattended our booking system will not re-allocate it. Guests are free to request the retention of a pitch, or extend your stay on arrival where we have availability.
Vacating your pitch
Please vacate your pitch by 11am on your day of departure
Barbecues
Barbecues which are raised off the ground on a stand are permitted. Please ensure that portable barbecues are not lit on grass or lit at the area provided near the camping/tent shelter area. No open fires allowed
No campfires.
Drinking Water
All water on the site is drinking water. Fill points are indicated on the site map.
SITE FACILITIES
Please see the map on-site for locations of amenities. All guests receive a check-in map on arrival.
Toilets and Showers
Please note that the toilet block, will be closed to access to allow for cleaning at Midday (12:00 hrs). Please allow the cleaner priority to facilitate this.
Showers are not metered but please respect other guests who may be waiting.
Please refrain from charging mobile phones from shaver points. There are free power points available on request.
Please refrain from drying wet clothes in the toilet block, there is a laundry facility provided.
Do not clean dishes or pots in the toilet block, there are sinks provided.
Chemical Toilet
The chemical toilet disposal is for the sole purpose of disposal of chemical waste. Please do not use the facility for other waste such as nappies.
Laundry
Ask at reception or the warden about laundry facilities, machines (2) operate on £1 coins x 4 and there is a drying facility outdoors and indoors
OUT AND ABOUT
General Stores
Staffin Stores and MacKenzie Stores are both located in Staffin 1 mile from the campsite. Both are well equipped, licensed stores selling milk, fresh bread and daily newspapers. MacKenzie Stores sell diesel and petrol. Mon- Sat
You can buy fresh Scottish seafood each Tuesday at 9am and Scottish food products from a mobile shop.

Public Transport
There is a regular bus service Mon – Sat from and to Portree. The bus will stop at the end of the campsite access road junction. Ask for bus times or see info.

Walking
There is a footpath from the campsite to Staffin Bay, please follow the path carefully. For experienced mountain walkers, the Quirang and The Storr are nearby.
Ferry
Uig is situated 20 minutes from the campsite. Ask for details of leaving caravans whilst exploring the Western Isles.
